Polybutylene pipes, also known as PB pipes, polybutene-1 pipes or PB-1 pipes, offer a number of unique benefits for your plumbing and piping systems.
- Polybutylene pipes are lightweight, weighing only 1/5 that of galvanized steel pipes. They are also flexible and strong with a density near 0.930 g/ml³
- PB pipes are non-toxic, tasteless and corrosion-free, making them safe for drinking water piping systems.
- Thanks to their flexibility, PB pipes are resistant to freezing temperatures.
- Low thermal conductivity properties ensure the PB pipe is safer than metal pipes when used in hot water applications, with a maximum operating temperature of 110℃.
- PB piping systems are ideal for long term use, with a service life of more than 30 years at a temperature of 54℃
- Polybutylene is environmentally friendly material, ensuring the PB pipes are recyclable.
