Prometryn is a selective herbicide which controls annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in a variety of crops including cotton, soybeans, wheat, peanuts, fruits, vegetables, tea, and rice paddies. It inhibits photosynthesis in susceptible species. This photosynthetic inhibitor is available in water dispersible granule and suspension concentrate formulations.
Uses
Prometryn is used for the pre-emergence treatment of cotton, sunflowers, peanuts, potatoes, carrots, peas and beans. Its dosage varies from 0.8kg/ha to 2.5kg/ha. When used for the post-emergence treatment of cotton, potatoes, carrots, celery and leeks, its dosage ranges from 0.8kg/ha to 1.5kg/ha.
