Cable Guardrail
Cable guardrail systems are flexible roadside barriers to provide safer guard in open areas (both roadside and median). It refers to guard cable or wire rope safety barrier (WRSB), is a type of roadside or median safety barrier.
It consists of steel wire ropes mounted on posts. They are designed:
1. To prevent a vehicle from leaving the traveled way and crash with opposite vehicles.
2. To redirect errant vehicles.
Because these barriers are relatively inexpensive to install and very effective at capturing vehicles, their use is becoming increasingly prevalent worldwide.
The system is more forgiving than traditional concrete barriers.
Types of cable Guardrail:
High tension and low tension systems can be used depending on the strength requirements of the installation site.
Where's the Cable Guardrail used?
Bridges or railways, airports, sea ports, highway, mountain areas, farms and open areas.
Advantage Compared to W-Beam Steel Guardrail:
1. Prevent a secondary damage or harm to people and vehicles.
2. Offer better and clearer visual effects and views, reduce visual fatigue.
3. Takes up less space, easy for road cleaning and maintenance.
