Rotary Kiln for Lime production
The lime rotary kiln is designed to produce active lime which is very popular in steel making and many other industries, such as alumina, magnesium, calcium carbide, papermaking, etc. As an important auxiliary material for steel making, active lime acts to improve the quality of molten steel and increase output, while reducing consumptions and cost. Practices have proved that steel mills utilizing active lime have attained substantial economical benefits. This results in large active lime demand in steelmaking industry.
Recently years, the output of lime for steelmaking in China has increased by 40%, while the output of high grade lime with activity over 300ml has only increased by 2.5%, from 27% to 29.5%. Considering this into consideration, we have especially designed the lime rotary kiln dedicated to produce high grade lime materials. The machine is an achievement based on advanced national and international technologies, and offers daily output of 1000 tons. It has been exported to Vietnam, Russia, and the Middle Africa areas.
- With high production capacity and reliable operation, the machine is ideal for medium and small sized lime production plants. Providing stable quality end products, it is also suitable for mine exploitation.
- The open-type design ensures simple structure and smooth air flow. The sulfurous gases can be discharged timely, and the sulfur in fuel won’t attach on feeding materials, so the end product comes with very low sulfur content and conforms to steelmaking industry standards. On even ground, rotary kiln ensures higher lime activity than gas kiln, which is usually 30ml higher. To illustrate, our product offers average lime activity between 340-380ml, and sometimes as high as 400ml.
- This range of machine supports calcining of fine limestone with particle size between 10mm and 50mm.
- The lime rotary kiln is designed with a vertical preheater at its upper end. By making use of the high temperature gas generated during calcining, the preheater can heat and pre-decompose the limestone. This not only improves productivity, but also reduces heat consumption.
- A vertical cooler at the lower end is available to cool the high temperature lime materials, so as to improve the lime activity, and ensure convenient conveying and transportation. The process also provides the kiln with relatively high temperature secondary air, which increases the temperature inside the kiln. This results in reduced fuel consumption.
- The waste gas discharged from the vertical preheater comes with temperature between 280℃ and 350℃, and low dust content of 20g/Nm3. This makes waste gas treatment convenient, and makes it easy to meet environmental protection demands.
