Combining functions of drying, dispersing and modifying
The multi-functional rotor mill is a powerful mechanical mill. It features multiple rotors attached to a vertical shaft, along with a multi-layer, grinding blade head that provides high shearing and scattering forces. Furthermore, it has the ability to be connected to a hot air source, granting it the capability to carry out the tasks of drying, dispersing, and even modifying materials.
When operating at high speeds, the mill creates a powerful airflow, through which the agglomerated powder particles are trapped in a special-designed stator. High pressure and speed wind generate a strong vortex, generating shear, friction, and centrifugal forces which then quickly break down the material into individual particles, or crystal particles close to their natural size.
- Integration of the drying and grinding processes ensures high efficiency while keeping operation costs low.
- Designed to withstand temperatures up to 400℃, with the bearing designed with heat insulation.
- The grinding block and lining are changeable, and a variety of materials can be used depending on the type of material being processed.
- Built-in classifier wheel optional, allowing coarse materials to be milled circularly.
- External heated air optional, allowing drying and grinding process operated at the same time. Powered by high-speed rotors, materials in the grinding chamber are surrounded by hot air resulting in a large area for heat exchange. This makes moisture evaporate efficiently and the heat source is more efficiently utilized, hence achieving an energy saving of 30-50% as compared to traditional drying methods.
