    What is Cryolipolisis?
Cryolipolysis is an advanced fat destruction technique that does not require surgery and can carry out treatment amounts equal to that of liposuction. This method eliminates adipocytes by freezing them, instead of the common methods used during liposuction. By doing so, only the fat is dissolved, removing the adipocytes, rather than destroying them.

      How does it work?
Application in the chosen area of the transducer combines a vacuum technology to capture subcutaneous fatty tissue and cryotechnology to cool the selected area. Fat cells located in the subcutaneous tissue (directly below the dermis) is rich in saturated acid, making the tissue sensitive to cold, unlike the adjacent blood vessels, peripheral nervous system, melanocytes, fibrocytes, and lipid-poor cells. This selective cooling allows the natural degradation of the fat without damaging surrounding tissue.

How are the fat cells removed?
The degradation process during exposure to cryolipolysis works directly through crystallization, followed by a gradual apoptosis and gradual cell release of lipid in a period of 2 to 6 weeks. Indirectly, lipolysis is also induced by the sympathetic nervous system stimulation.

      How many sessions are needed?
Depending on the depth of the adipose tissue and the desired reduction amount, treatment normally is best carried out in 1 to 3 sessions. We recommend an interval of 45 days between sessions.

What results can we expect and how soon will I see noticeable results?
Depending on the initial depth of the fat tissue, the average loss of tissue is between 3 and 15mm. As the percentage of fat corresponds to a range of 25 to 45%, approximately 40% of the outcome will be visible within 15 days, though it is necessary to wait at least 6 weeks to see complete results, and thus, decide if another session is needed.

      How long is the treatment?
Depending on the treatment area size, the treatment time differs. For example, the abdomen may require 2 treatment sessions (one for each side and 2 on the lower back area). Each application lasts between 20 minutes to a half hour, depending on the depth of the tissue, which means that depending on the size of the treatment area and the depth of the adipose tissue, a session can last anywhere from 20 to 180 minutes.

What is noticeable during and after the session?
The procedure is painless, though the patient may notice tension at the treatment level and a localized cold sensation, especially at the beginning of the session. After the session, there is normally some redness and numbness for a couple of hours. In rare cases, some bruising appears, but is reabsorbed within just a few days. After the session, normal, everyday activities can be resumed with no discomfort.

        Application
Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive fat removal procedure, also referred to as fat freezing or cool sculpting. It is the cooling of the subcutaneous fat cells that induces lipolysis (break down of cells) without damaging the surrounding tissue or skin. This process is designed to reduce fat in specific areas of the body, most notably the stomach and back.
