The rubber pad bearing is designed to transfer the pressure from the superstructure to the pier and bear the bridge deformation. The bridge rubber bearing has large vertical stiffness to guarantee less deformation under the largest vertical load. The rubber bearing features good flexibility in horizontal direction to adapt to the horizontal displacement of the bridge caused by braking force, temperature, contraction and creep of concrete and load effect. The rubber pad bearding can also withstand the rotation of beam end.

Key features
  • Duratech rubber pad bearings are produced and checked in accordance with MOT of PRC's JT/T4-93 standard.
  • Multi-layer rubber sheet is bonded with a steel sheet then it is molded and vulcanized to make the rubber pad bearing, which features good vertical stiffness, high elasticity and shear deformability to satisfy the horizontal displacement of the superstructure.
  • The bridge rubber bearings are ideal for bridges of small and medium load and large displacement due to their excellent features like simple structure, economical cost, easy maintenance and replacement, high shock resistance and low building height.
Rubber pad bearing types

A variety of rubber pad bearings are available in Duratech:
Rectangular pad rubber bearing; circular pad rubber bearing; chloroprene rubber baring (working temp. -25~ 60℃), natural rubber bearing (working temp. -35~ 60℃); EPDM rubber bearing (working temp. -40~ 60℃)
