Crystallizer of Continuous casting mold system
Continuous casting mold system is for the initial solidification of liquid steel and the formation of strand. It is the most critical part to continuous casting machine, playing a role of solidifying the liquid steel into a strand shell with required specification and shape. Through the vibration of the mold system, the shell separates from the mould wall without being pulled apart, ensuring stable and uniform generation of the strand shell. Our continuous casting mold system is a tubular container to guarantee the cross section size of the strand and sufficient shell thickness. It adopts cooper tube structure. The top end of the tube is sealed by the top cap, and the bottom adopts side seal. The mold system has a stainless steel waterproof casing, being sturdy and durable. It can be mounted on the top of the oscillation device and main operating platform. Our products can be placed on the magnetic stirring apparatus to improve the performance of the casting blank and obtain greater billets.
The liquid steel flowed into the mold is solidified into the required section form and frozen shell with certain thickness through heat exchange. During continuous casting, the temperature and chemical component of the liquid steel, withdrawal speed, inlet and outlet temperature of the cooling water and water quality should be strictly controlled. On the assumption of standard operation, when the billet is withdrawn from the mold under the combined action of mechanical stress and thermal stress, it ensures that the shell will not break. In addition, deformation, crack and other defects that influence the billet quality will not occur. The pressure of cooling water is usually within 0.4-0.8Mpa. During the continuous casting process, the water-break phenomenon should be strictly on guard. Meanwhile, the liquid steel level should be strictly controlled 100mm lower to the upper end face of the mold copper tube. And the level fluctuation must be within a reasonable range.
