Dry Type Transformer, Cast Resin Dry Type Transformers
Series SC(B)10 dry type transformers are engineered for high efficiency power transmission. Epoxy resin is used as the transformer’s insulation material to encapsulate the core. Therefore, SC(B)10 transformers are encapsulated dry type transformers. The high and low voltage winding adopts copper strips (foil) and epoxy resin is cast and cured in a vacuum, forming an extremely strong fiberglass reinforced plastic structure. Vacuum on-load regulating switches are adopted and when the grid voltage fluctuates, the voltage of the transformers need to be adjusted to supply high quality and stable voltage. Cast resin dry type transformers are especially suited for high demand installations and locations with strict fireproof demands, such as commercial centers, airports, tunnels, nuclear power plants, ships, and oil fields.
