There are many parts on a dredger that are hydraulically controlled. That is why our hydraulic cylinder can find such widespread use in dredging applications. Typically, parts that require hydraulic cylinders to transfer motion include the swell compensator, drag head gantry, intermediate gantry, davit, bottom door, hopper door, overflow tube, and hull door.

What sets our cylinder apart from others is the high-quality weld produced around the outer surface between the flange and main cylinder. In order to enable such a weld, suitable wire electrodes are used in the submerged arc welding.

The piston rod is made of steel C45 through forging and normalizing. Its mechanical strength exceeds the JB/T6397 standard. Ultrasonic flaw detection is carried out on the cylinder to ensure it is in compliance with JB/T4730B standard. The inspection result shows that the cylinder meets the requirements of Level II Quality Standard. Made with proven technology, the cylinder has enhanced quality, and can be installed in different locations. Ceramic coating gives the piston rod an exceptional adaptability to various unfavorable dredging conditions.
