With popularity on the rise for our hydraulic cylinders, many customers from mining and quarrying industry call us for cylinder design and manufacturing solutions. Unique to our hydraulic cylinder is the submerged arc welding technique that we use on the piston rod, in order to create high-quality weld around the outer surface of joint between the flange and cylinder.
The piston rod plays a crucial role in the hydraulic cylinder. In compliance with related design standards, we use the steel C45 to make the piston rod that has been through forging process. In order to ensure the forging quality, ultrasonic flaw detection is carried out on the rod. After the inspection, heat treatment is applied to improve the rod’s ductility, strength, and wear resistance. Once the heat treatment is completed, ultrasonic flaw detection or magnetic particle inspection is used to detect the cracks and scratches on the rod that might be caused by normalizing. Meanwhile, surface hardness is checked against the JB/T6397 standard.
According to your specific installation conditions, we can equip your cylinder with different mounting attachments. Ceramic coating is applied to the piston rod to give extended use life, making it more adaptable to the unfavorable mining and quarrying conditions.
