Most of our construction grade cylinders are double-acting cylinders, meaning there is a port at each end of the cylinder supplied with working fluids for retracting and extending the piston. In extreme duty applications, the hydraulic cylinder carries out linear motion and delivering high force to the moving parts of construction machinery, transportation equipment, and other extreme-duty vehicles.

Features of Hydraulic Cylinder
1. Rated working pressure: 16MPa, unless otherwise specified
2. Rated temperature: -20~ 80°C, unless otherwise specified
3. Simple, small, lightweight, high-strength
4. Sealing system

Sealing elements come from PARKER and MERKEL which are specially designed for use on construction machinery, mining machinery, lifting and transportation equipment. Unique sealing system design eliminates rod friction and leak by the rod end.

Piston Rod
Precision machined piston rod is made of high strength carbon steel that has undergone heat treatment for improved hardness. Chrome plating and CNC polishing ensure a smooth surface that protects oil film from damage, which in turn improves seal life. A safety factor of 4:1 is guaranteed around the smallest cross section along the piston rod and piston assembly when subjected to rated load.

Cylinder Gland
Made of high-strength ductile iron, the cylinder gland houses a variety of seals including the buffer seal, guide ring, and wear ring. Made of imported phenolic resin, the guide ring is able to withstand high stress and avoids metal-to-metal contact between the piston rod and the gland. The gland is designed in a proper length to improve side load capacity, absorb impact and increase contact area all while minimizing stress exerted on the bearing. This in turn improves the life of our hydraulic cylinder and sealing elements.

Cylinder
The hydraulic cylinder is constructed from high-strength alloy steel and available in different wall thicknesses depending on the required pressure capacity and size. The internal surface has undergone roller burnishing to achieve excellent surface finish and hardness. A smooth surface also causes minimal friction and again improves seal life.

Piston, Piston Seals
Featuring one-piece steel construction, the standard piston works coaxially with the piston rod. The piston is threaded onto the rod with steel balls between the two parts for a secure lock. A reliable connection is unlikely to break apart under high speed or load conditions. Unique thread design makes full use of the threaded part on the piston rod which has gone through heat treatment for improved hardness. This thread style greatly increases the cross-sectional area of piston rod that takes the axial load. Wiper seals are added before and after the main seal and guide ring to keep out contaminants from entering the piston seal, thereby improving the life of sealing elements.

Rod End Cushion
As the piston rod approaches the end of its stroke, the rod end cushion is used to absorb impact and pressure. Made of high-strength alloy steel, the end cushion has gone through heat treatment and surface finishing. The gap between the piston rod and rod end cushion reduces the pressure needed to start the hydraulic cylinder. Available with self-adjusting feature to maintain coaxiality, the rod end cushion also reduces noise and vibration generated during operation thereby prolonging the life of the hydraulic system.

Welding
Robotic arms are used to perform welding, achieving consistent welding results which are impossible to be done with manual welding. Specialized inspectors use a ultrasonic flaw detector to check if there is any weld defect.

Safety Features
Upon your request, we can add emergency shut-off valves, stroke counter, and other features to control the speed of the return stroke.
