Service entrance cable consists of AA-8000 series aluminum alloy conductors, insulated with sunlight resistant type XHHW-2 cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and wrapped together with a neutral conductor using a reinforced tape. It has a sunlight resistant PVC jacket that is available in various colors.

We offer two types of SE cables: SER cable has 2-4 stranded phase conductors and bare ground wire; SEU cable has two parallel phase conductors surrounded by a concentric bare ground wire.

Aluminum SE cable is to be used at 600V and at a max. conductor temperature of 90℃ for outdoor uses in wet, damp or dry locations.

Applications:

Aluminum SE cable is intended for electric power transmission from the junction box to the meter box and from the meter base to the distribution cabinet. It is also suitable for other applications as specified in the NEC.

Standards:

Our SE cable meets UL 44 and UL 854. It has passed the following tests: current overload test, tensile testing, horizontal flame test, 720h sunlight resistance test, aging test on insulation materials, dielectric voltage withstand test, etc.
