FRP Storage Tank
Our FRP storage tank, or fiber reinforce plastic tank, can meet your various demands. Its height ranges from 2m to 15m. Two types of tank are available, namely horizontal type and vertical type. The material is acid/alkali resistant, leading to longer service life.
Feature of FRP storage tank
1. Great physical and mechanical performance
The density of fiber reinforce plastic is 1.8-2.1g/cm3, about one forth of steel. The specific strength of FRP is higher than steel, casting iron, and normal plastic. FRP has excellent physical and mechanical performance, and great heat and electric insulation performance. Besides, its coefficient of thermal expansion is generally the same to steel, while the heat conductivity is only 0.5% of steel’s value.
2. Good chemical corrosion resistant performance and long service life
Due to the excellent chemical corrosion resistant property, the FRP storage tank has great advantage over many other kinds of tanks when storing corrosive materials.
3. Flexible design and outstanding structure of tank wall
To store different materials on various working conditions, the physical and chemical performance of the FRP storage tank can be changed by modifying the resin and core material. The wall thickness, wall structure and coiling angle of different layers of the wall can be adjusted to get different storing ability, such as different pressure capacity and other special abilities. In comparison, the isotropous material can not be adjusted to achieve the same modification.
Each FRP storage tank is meets the requirements of American standard-ASTMD3299. Its volume capacity ranges from 1 to 5000 m3. This kind of chemical-resistant tank is a perfect container for acid, alkali, brine, sewage, drinking water, etc.
